Synopsis:
Linda Danvers is invited for an outing on the yacht of the Mr. Stanton, the head of the TV studio. During the trip she meets Freddy Hero, a freelance writer, who crashed the party. A short time later, a costumed thief called Fire Drake boards the yacht. Linda goes into action as Supergirl, but her powers fail her allowing the crooks to escape.
Supergirl is then visited by her mother who takes her back to Kandor. Zor-El gives Kara a strength bracelet to increase her strength. Her mother then hands her the Legion flight ring she had left in her apartment. These items are needed during Supergirl's power outages.
The next morning, Linda is back aboard the yacht. Fire Drake returns. This time Supergirl stops him and exposes his identity as Fred Hero. Although she didn't need them this time, Supergirl is thankful that her new gadgets will serve her the next time she is called into action.
