Synopsis:
Green Lantern and Green Arrow come across a dispute between a tribe of indians and a logging company. Both claim land ownership rights to the same piece of land. The documents which prove the indians own the land have been lost, so without proof Green Lantern believes there is nothing to be done. Green Arrow believes that the indians claim is just. With disparate views, the two heroes part company.

Green Lantern travels to Evergreen City to track down the son of the former indian chief who made the deal with the government. GL rescues the man from a tenement fire only to discover that the last copy of the land ownership documents were destroyed in that same fire. Frustrated, Green Lantern heads to Washington for political assistance.

Meanwhile, Green Arrow disguises himself as the spirit of Ulysses Starr, the former indian chief. He inspires the tribe to stand and fight for their land. Just as the conflict begins, Green Lantern returns from Washington with a congressman who promises to settle the dispute. Unsatisfied, Green Arrow starts a fight with Green Lantern. While their fistfight truly solves nothing, the congressman does have the lumber leaders arrested for causing the tenement fire.

Later, the dispute over the land remains unsettled. However, Green Lantern and Green Arrow are both counseled by the Guardian and all three have gained knowledge of the human condition.
