This story is continued from New Gods #5.
Synopsis:
The Deep Six uses their newly created mutation known as Leviathan to destroy ships at sea. Orion rescues three survivors from a wrecked yacht. He brings the three with him to a location revealed by Mother Box. He finds a boat with a man tied in coils to the mast. Orion frees the man who is Lightray. The New Gods then enter the ship and discover an organic creature directing the Leviathan. Lightray transforms it.
With the creature out of commission the Deep Six and Leviathan return to the boat where Orion meets them in battle. The conflict claims the life of one of the shipwreck survivors, but Orion and Lightray succeed in their efforts to stop the Leviathan and the Deep Six.
