This story takes place on and around June 9, 1938.

Synopsis:
Slam and Shorty join a broadway show to catch a bandit working inside the show. Joan Carter, a female detective, follows Slam trying to solve the case herself. After Slam is unable to solve the case, he is fired by the theatre owner. While retrieving their belongings, Shorty stumbles across evidence proving that Boris Desmond is the Broadway Bandit. Before he can warn Slam, Shorty is slugged by Joan, seeking to capture the crook herself. The bandit nearly kills her, but Slam arrives in time to save her life and apprehend Desmond.
