Synopsis:
Johnny attends night school in an attempt to get an education. One evening after class he stops the rich Oscar Van Gelt de Smythe from accosting a woman. Oscar is expelled from the Lurnfast Night School and vows vengeance against Johnny.

Johnny joins the Lurnfast football team which needs to win in order to earn money to keep the school open. Oscar has joined the rival team, Starbrite, and plays dirty. Soon only Johnny is left on the field uninjured. Johnny summons his Thunderbolt and together they win the game for Lurnfast, saving the school.
