Nick Bonaparte, a direct descendant of the original Napoleon, becomes the crime boss of several small towns. His control of the towns is complete with police and city officials all working for him. The headquarters of his crime empire is the town of Waterloo, decided upon in spite of Napoleon’s defeat there.
Green Lantern learns of Nick’s rackets and rallies the people against the crime lord. He helps distribute a newspaper to awaken citizens. Then he leads an assault on Bonaparte’s fortress. Napoleon turns weapons against the people, but Green Lantern destroys them. Nick is caught in the resulting explosion and dies, ending his reign of crime.
