Synopsis:
Alan Scott is sent to Australia to help install a new radio transmitter. During the voyage, his ship falls prey to a Nazi sub. Although, he defeats the Nazis as Green Lantern, the ship is damaged and the passengers are forced to abandon ship.

Alan, Doiby, Irene, and the Sprig family use a lifeboat to escape the sinking ship. The current takes the boat to an uncharted island whose shores are full of ship wrecks. The people of Sargasso Island have formed a utopian society. They cannot escape because the current is too strong to overcome.

The Sprig family has a difficult time adapting to the new environment because they are greedy. When the Nazi sub lands and threatens to invade the island, the Sprig’s cooperate. Alan Scott cooperates too, in both his normal identity and as Green Lantern.

The Nazis summon an entire fleet to take over the island and use it as a base. Doiby and the others organize a revolt. At the necessary moment Green Lantern reveals that he was only working with the Nazi’s to lead them into a trap. The fleet is overcome by GL, and the Nazis defeated.

Alan, Irene, and Doiby then return to the mainland with the Sprig family promising not to reveal the existence of the island. The Sprigs, upon returning, have also given up their greed and become charitable.
