Synopsis:
Slam Bradley and Shorty Morgan attend a hockey match in which several of the star players for the Red Arrows are injured. Slam also stop a pickpocket from stealing from Travers Barry, the arena's leasee. Slam is surprised when the pickpocket is released from custody. After talking with the injured players, he begins to suspect Barry of wrongdoing.

During the investigation, Slam and Shorty are attacked several times by gangsters. Slam then proves that Barry paid off Randall, a player on the opposing team to hurt the players. When the Red Arrows lost games, he could get a lower price for rent on the arena. Slam exposes the racket, and Barry's involvement.
