Synopsis:
Slam and Shorty are hired by a department store to investigate a bizarre case in which items are supposedly being stolen, but are not missing. Slam discovered that the items are being sent out on approval, then phony items are returned to the store. Slam also discovers that Simpkins the store manager is responsible. Simpkins was angered when the board of directors put Jack Hartford in control of the store instead of him. Simpkins tries to frame Hartford for a jewel heist, but Slam is able to expose and shut down the entire racket.
