Comments:
This story is continued in part from Hawkman #7 and continues in Hawkman #9.
Synopsis:
Hawkman and Hawkgirl attack the Thanagaran base on Earth in an attempt to rescue their friend George Emmett. Inside the compound Emmett and fellow prisoner Joe Tracy overpower Agent Harpy and escape their cell. Tracy then sacrifices himself to help Emmett get outside. Outside Hawkman battles Darkwing, while Shayera and their ally the Gentleman Ghost fight the Thanagarans. Darkwing eventually falls in battle. The Gentleman Ghost helps Emmett complete his escape. As the battle winds down, the Hawks are surprised by the arrival of Superman.
