Synopsis:
After crashing into a road sign, Hal Jordan practices using his power ring. When he finds out that he is wanted by police for drunk driving, Hal constructs a mask to hide his identity. After he nearly causes a plane crash, Hal saves the plane. He flies away when the angry pilot confronts him. Hal then decides to turn himself in to the police. He is forced to surrender the ring and is placed in lock up.
Meanwhile, an alien in yellow armor has followed Abin Sur to Earth. He finds the wreckage of Abin Sur's ship and his corpse. The alien deduces that his quarry has given the ring to another. The alien follows the ring's trail to the police station and attacks.
Hal's cell is broken open during the alien rampage. He retrieves his ring and prepares to fight. However, the ring's charge has run out. The alien grabs him and demands to know the location of Oa.
