Synopsis:
Hal Jordan applies for a job opening with Elite Design Consultants. He meets Chip, the lead designer who recognizes him immediately as Green Lantern. Hal befriends Chip and gives him a temporary power ring. They travel to Oa where they stop a group of scavengers from raiding the remains of the Central Power Battery.
During their trip in space, Hal tells Chip how he was selected to become a Green Lantern by Abin Sur. They then return to Earth. Chip agrees to keep the secret of Hal's double identity. Hal then accepts the job with the Gremlins.
