Comments:
While in Europe the JSA does not fall under the influence of the Spear of Destiny, which transforms the magic based heroes into Axis soldiers. An explanation for how Spectre, Dr. Fate, and Johnny Thunder are able to escape the Spear’s influence in this story has never been revealed.
Synopsis:
The JSA members travel to occupied European nations to feed the starving resistance fighters. Hawkman has found a way to store meals in tiny capsules. The meals then expand to full size when a special solution is applied.
Hawkman takes the pills to France, Dr. Fate goes behind enemy lines in Germany, Atom helps the resistance in Holland, Dr. Mid-Nite feeds the nation of Norway, Sandman assists Greece, Johnny Thunder takes food to Czechoslovakia, Starman battles Nazis in Poland, and Spectre helps the Belgian resistance. After their missions are complete Hawkman arranges for the R.A.F. to deliver more food capsules.
