Comments:
Aquaman, Atom, Batman, Flash, Green Arrow, and Wonder Woman appear only briefly in this story, in a scene that takes place in between pages 23 and 24 of Justice League of America #50.
The Atom also appears in flashback to events in the second story of Atom #27, and Batman also appears in flashback to an untold adventure with Superman.
Synopsis:
Snapper Carr answers a frequent question of the Justice League's fans: Why don't all the members participate in every case? He illustrates how some members are prevented from attending meetings by urgent cases of their own, by playing taped 'accounts of members' reasons for non-attendance in a recent adventure (seen in Justice League of America #50).
Hawkman and J'onn J'onzz relate how they encountered each other in a battle against the crime syndicate called Vulture. Faceless, leader of Vulture, had tapped the energy of Green Lantern's power battery to overcome the Martian Manhunter and turn him against Hawkman. Green Lantern joins the other heroes, after overcoming a hound dog accidentally transformed into a giant menace by the stolen battery energy. Atom tells how he was involved in a time-travel adventure while the JLA case was taking place (as seen in the second story of Atom #27). Superman relates a re-encounter with alien cube-creatures he had previously battled with Batman.
