Tomahawk is given the task of carrying an offer of alliance from the governor of Virginia to the governor of New York. On the journey, he meets the Earl of Westland, a noble snob. The Earl robs a merchant, stealing a quantity of valuable nails, proving himself to be a thief.

Tomahawk continues on his trip to New York and is attacked by the Earl's men. He defeats them and is informed that the Earl is not a real nobleman at all. When he reaches New York, Tomahawk has Dan Hunter go undercover to learn where the Earl is. Tomahawk then exposes the Earl and delivers his letter of alliance to the governor.
