Synopsis:
Genius Wemberly, a criminal scientist, invents a lightning gun which he uses for crime. When he shoots Superboy with the gun, the Boy of Steel becomes super-charged with electric current. The current poses a danger to everyone around him, which prevents Superboy from capturing Wemberly.

Superboy tries to expel the charge, but he finds that he is still giving off electricity. The situation also nearly exposes his identity as Clark Kent, as his presense causes electric devices to malfunction.

Superboy uses the electricity in his body to create a magnet. He then pulls the lightning gun from Wemberly's hand. Once the crook is disarmed, Superboy is able to apprehend him. Superboy then allows the rest of the charge to dissipate and comes up with an excuse to protect his secret identity.
