Synopsis:
Lorraine Frazier, the ex-wife of Stewart Frazier, comes to the Midway City Police Station to find her ex-husband. When she is informed that he is not there, she leaves the building and is gunned down on the street. Hawkman arrives too late to prevent her murder.
Hawkman then takes Stewart to the Gulf Coast where Lorraine worked as a private investigator. They find her office ransacked. When they reach her apartment, a spirit attacks them. Hawkman and Hawkwoman eventually defeat the spirit, but are left with no explanation for the attack.
Back in Midway City, George Emmett searches the river for papers dropped by Lorraine when she was killed. A zombie of Lorraine emerges from the water and hands over the papers to Whitney Nichols.
