Synopsis:
Due to the crash of a mail plane, the Justice League receives two letters requesting their aid two years after the letters were sent. Investigating, they discover the existence of Shaggy Man, a giant android with the ability to regenerate damaged body parts, and a compulsion to attack anything that moves. In the absence of the super-heroes, the creature has been subdued by its inventor, but the arrival of the JLA accidentally frees it, and Flash, Hawkman, and Green Arrow are unable to stop its rampage.
Meanwhile, Batman, Wonder Woman, and Atom, answering the second letter, find themselves battling an intelligent rock-creature intent on sapping Earth's natural resources. When this menace also proves unbeatable, Flash hits on the solution of pitting the two threats against each other.
Trapped in a deep pit, Shaggy Man knocks the rock-creature to fragments. The Justice League then places a duplicate of Shaggy Man in the pit for the original to battle. Since neither can be totally destroyed, they will battle on endlessly, and if the rock-being reassembles itself, both Shaggy Men will unite to destroy it again.
