Comments:
This is a Justice Society of America story, though the rest of the All-Star Squadron appear briefly.
This story, which takes place in February, 1942 occurs immediately following the events of All-Star Squadron Annual #2 and continues in All-Star Squadron #28.
Synopsis:
Following the battle with the Ultra-Humanite, the Atom collapses. The JSA arrives at his bedside and using Wonder Woman’s Magic Sphere, they learn where Dr. Fate has been.
In search of the missing Spectre, Dr. Fate locates the body of Jim Corrigan surrounded by a spell at the bottom of a lake. Investigating further he finds a portal leading to the Spectre, who has been ensorceled by his old foe Kulak. Fate and Spectre battle each other, with the Spectre triumphing. Kulak then begins entering Earth’s dimension through a portal in the sky.
