Comments:
Firestorm's appearance in this story is not possible. This story takes place after the alien invasion of Earth. However, Firestorm was not able to reform for some time after the cure for the meta-gene bomb was delivered. After he did reform, his appearance was significantly changed which is not reflected in this story. Therefore it is possible that the character who appears to be Firestorm in this story is an imposter. One possibility is that he is a Durlan left behind on Earth following the invasion. However, the identity of this imposter (or even acknowledgement that it isn't the real Firestorm) has never been revealed.
This story continues in part in Justice League International #25.
Synopsis:
Oberon and Max Lord host an open house event at the New York embassy of the Justice League. They handed out invitations at the hospital where the afflicted heroes were treated following the detonation of the meta-gene bomb. The current Justice League members attend the party. Some of the original League members such as Green Lantern, the Atom, and Elongated Man also attend. Finally, several free agents including Wonder Woman, Power Girl, and Animal Man have chosen to make appearances.
While the heroes socialize, the group of miniaturized Khunds that had previously invaded the embassy regain their normal size. They charge into the meeting room ready to attack. However, when they see the assembled heroes, the Khunds flee. The League and its guests tear through the walls to get to the Khunds.
After the party is over, Max and Oberon meets to discuss the new recruits which will be stationed at the embassy in Paris to form Justice League Europe.
