Synopsis:
More skilled in the use of super-powers than their newly created foes, the Justice Society defeats the Lawless League. Angered at this development, the criminal Johnny Thunder pits the super-heroes against a barrage of natural disasters, while retreating with the Thunderbolt to the comparative safety of the moon. There he had the Thunderbolt create three monstrous super-villains: Medusa-Man, who turns his victims to wood, Absorbo-Man, able to absorb any force used against him to his advantage, and Repello-Man, who can turn his enemies' powers against them.
Mr. Terrific and Atom fall victim to Medusa-Man, Flash and Hawkman are defeated by Repello-Man, while Green Lantern is overcome by Absorbo-Man. Alerted to the menacing trio's powers by his comrades' defeats, Dr. Fate destroys all three, then engages the Thunderbolt in a magical duel. Battered by the magical holocaust all around him, and frustrated by his constant failure to beat the Justice Society, Johnny Thunder gives his final command to the Thunderbolt - to turn back time to before he and his Earth-2 counterpart first met.
Thus, everything returns to normal, the Justice League once more exists, and no one except the Thunderbolt retains any memory of the adventure.
