Comments:
This story is continued from Justice League Europe #11.
Buddy Baker officially begins his leave of absence in this story. He had already made the request to J'onn in Animal Man #20.
Synopsis:
Metamorpho wants to see his son. After defeating Guy Gardner, the Metal Men stand in his way. A fight begins. Animal Man and Rocket Red recover from being knocked out. They are forced to fight Java who is now Sapphire's husband. During the fight, the baby is put in danger. Java picks up the baby and has his arms transmuted.
The fight ends. Only Rex and Sapphire appear to have an immunity to the baby's powers. Rex hands the baby to Simon Stagg hoping he will be killed. Instead, Simon possesses the same genetic immunity as his daughter. Simon then begins seeing the baby as a human instead of as a commodity. Metamorpho returns to Europe with his teammates.
Elsewhere, Blue Jay and Silver Sorceress escape from a Soviet prison. The Sorceress returns to her homeworld, but Blue Jay elects to remain on Earth.
