Synopsis:
Through a mind-controlled Snapper Carr, the Key is able to use psycho-chemicals to control the Justice League and induce them to disband. Later, while involved in individual cases, the ex-members are unable to see or hear the Key's henchmen committing crimes before their very eyes. Their aides, such as Robin, are likewise afflicted, since the controlled heroes have been commanded to pass on the psycho-chemical to their partners.
The only exception is Hawkgirl, who has accidentally missing drinking the potion. She alerts Hawkman, and using their Absorbascon, they learn the secret identities of the other members in order to contact them and reform the team.
Cured of the chemicals by Thanagarian science, the super-heroes track down the Key, who is using their own Secret Sanctuary as his headquarters. Invading their former meeting place through the phone lines, the Atom sabotages the Key's controlling machinery, preventing him from retaking command of their minds. The other heroes battle the villain's unleashed key-weapons, and eventually overwhelm him.
